Devonshire delights

What a delightful place the depths of Devon are. We spent the weekend with friends down in Ottery St Mary, or Ottery St Catchpole for those Harry Potter fans amongst us, and had such a lovely time. We were so lucky with the weather - you would never have known it was October. Add to that a dash of home cooking, great company, the beach, clotted cream ice cream, an excitable pup's first trip to the sea and a chatty little 3 year old, and you have the ingredients for a perfect weekend.

And to round off a super weekend, we got back in time to dash to Waitrose before they closed and Mr M cooked a wonderful roast - rosemary roast pork. Yum. We then settled down to an evening of knitting (moi) and homework (Mr M).

Perfect.

I'll tell you about my rubbish fairy cakes another time... : )
