Now you see it

Now you don't!

My first attempt at a cheesecake went down rather well. It was a special treat to celebrate Dad's birthday and rounded off a scrummy feast that Mr M had rustled up for the occasion. It was so easy to make - all thanks to a Delia recipe ripped out of a magazine years ago and unearthed last week whilst tidying.

I only had a few arghh moments -
  1. Don't try and turn the cheesecake halfway through it's cooking time, it's still liquid!
  2. Don't panic that it looks a little too brown on one side - that's what sour cream and raspberries are for
  3. Don't get sidetracked by Blue popping in to say hello
  4. Don't worry about the smell - that's just what cooked cheese smells like
I'm going to substitute the digestive biscuits for ginger nuts next time. Yum yum.

Hope you've had a lovely weekend. I rediscovered my sewing machine and spent today sewing a little dress for my niece. Show and tell later on this week.

  1. Yes, Delia's cheesecake is excellent - gingernuts sound like a good idea. Shortbread fingers are good too, in case your cholesterol levels aren't scarily high enough!

  7. That delicious looking cheesecake wouldn't last half an hour in our house. Now you make me want one!

I've been rediscovering knitting after a summer of sewing.

I can't wait to see the dress.
