Now you see it

Now you don't!

My first attempt at a cheesecake went down rather well. It was a special treat to celebrate Dad's birthday and rounded off a scrummy feast that Mr M had rustled up for the occasion. It was so easy to make - all thanks to a Delia recipe ripped out of a magazine years ago and unearthed last week whilst tidying.

I only had a few arghh moments -
  1. Don't try and turn the cheesecake halfway through it's cooking time, it's still liquid!
  2. Don't panic that it looks a little too brown on one side - that's what sour cream and raspberries are for
  3. Don't get sidetracked by Blue popping in to say hello
  4. Don't worry about the smell - that's just what cooked cheese smells like
I'm going to substitute the digestive biscuits for ginger nuts next time. Yum yum.

Hope you've had a lovely weekend. I rediscovered my sewing machine and spent today sewing a little dress for my niece. Show and tell later on this week.

  1. Yes, Delia's cheesecake is excellent - gingernuts sound like a good idea. Shortbread fingers are good too, in case your cholesterol levels aren't scarily high enough!

  2. Sounds like you had a bit of an adventure with that cheesecake! Well done! It looks beautiful from the photo - and from the second delicious! xxx

  3. such a long time since I had a nice cheesecake. Where's my bit?

  4. Looks beatiful! I have yet to make a cheesecake, I love it so much I'm scared to eat it all in one go!!!!

  5. How fabulous! And equally impressed by the dress in a day. Looking forward to the show and tell. K x
