My first attempt at a cheesecake went down rather well. It was a special treat to celebrate Dad's birthday and rounded off a scrummy feast that Mr M had rustled up for the occasion. It was so easy to make - all thanks to a Delia recipe ripped out of a magazine years ago and unearthed last week whilst tidying.
I only had a few arghh moments -
- Don't try and turn the cheesecake halfway through it's cooking time, it's still liquid!
- Don't panic that it looks a little too brown on one side - that's what sour cream and raspberries are for
- Don't get sidetracked by Blue popping in to say hello
- Don't worry about the smell - that's just what cooked cheese smells like
Hope you've had a lovely weekend. I rediscovered my sewing machine and spent today sewing a little dress for my niece. Show and tell later on this week.
Yes, Delia's cheesecake is excellent - gingernuts sound like a good idea. Shortbread fingers are good too, in case your cholesterol levels aren't scarily high enough!
