A thud through the door

Just in time for my morning coffee...
...and cake

I don't know why but I'm really enjoying the onset of Autumn. The colours, the smells, the freshness in the air. I'm not enjoying dusk arriving earlier and earlier but I do relish the comfort food that it triggers. Jacket potatoes, Stroganoff, Shepherds Pie. Tonight we're having Welsh Dragon Bangers and Mash.

  1. Phew! At last I can match you sausage for sausage with your dinner menu. Normally I can only aspire to the delicacies on offer.

  2. Oh I know what you mean, I am really loving this change of season. Everything about it is making me happy...I am very jealous of your cake and cuppa time, I can't wait to get some of that soon :)

  3. Couldn't agree more! Autumn is the finest of seasons and the slide into this year is especially good. I think the colours are changing a bit earlier than usual after that hot spring we had.

What a fabulous sounding tea! Hope you enjoy it. Our first proper casserole of the season with squash and carrot mash was delicious - particularly as I didn't cook it!

    Enjoy your reading. anticipation)

  5. I LOVE winter food. I know I am actually allowed to eat sausages in Summer, but it just doesn't taste the same.
I love winter clothes too, thick woolly socks and boots all round in this household!
