I've been a little quiet of late - busy with work (hoorah), fighting the lurgy and general Christmas merriment. Oh, and eating my weight in mince pies and lovely chocolate treats.
Mr M came to meet me up in town this evening. We meandered along the Cologne German Market on the Southbank - not wildly authentic, the best stand had to be the glass baubles - and then tried our luck at Skylon for our Christmas treat. And a treat it was. Great view, company, food, service. And we were rather taken with the chairs. I can thoroughly recommend the Apple and Vanilla Bellini...
And a couple of answers...
- Mincemeat - I used Hettie Potter's suet free recipe from Nigella's How to be a Domestic Goddess which has also been shared here.
- Mum's dress - 'vintage' Cath Kidston.
- Dress making scissors - Ernest Wright & Sons - I'm so sorry for the ridiculously late response.
- I must confess that I haven't finished my Hug cushion yet. It still says 'UG', well really it says 'IUG', but that's by the by. Very therapeutic but it had to be put to one side for a couple of other projects.
What a super photo. It's all nearly melted in the field behind our house, too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
