The perfect night and day

Entertaining close friends at the house for the first time. Dining by candlelight. Speedy food Jamie style, canapés Mr M style, pudding catastrophe saved by the hairy bikers and a tub of nutella. A magnum of fizz. A long sleep. A brisk walk under clear blue skies followed by scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and pots of tea. 

The perfect way to welcome in the new year.

    Wasn't it bizarre that New Year's Day was the first non-rainy morning for ages? It felt like a fresh start...then it rained again!
