Apple blossom

We have two very old, clearly loved, apple trees in the new garden. They are wonderfully gnarled, mossy and stout. Over the last couple of weeks they have exploded with sweet smelling pink and white blossom casting a delicate dappled shade beneath the gentle hum of honey and bumble bees.

  1. We have a large apple orchard and I'm always overcome by that wonderful perfume at blossom time.
