Happy new year

Hello - gosh, it's been a while since I was last here. Christmas has been and gone. Precious time spent with family and friends. I drove for the first time on Christmas Day and found that having a dry Christmas Day, albeit with one glass of fizz for present opening, was actually quite fun. I then reminded myself why you shouldn't mix alcohol at our friends later on that week. Eurgh - you'd think at 34 I'd have learnt by now.

As silly as it sounds, I am so relieved that 2014 is finally here. 2013 felt like a pressure cooker with my nerves startling to rattle and hiss towards the end. The greatest high was our divine holiday in the South of France. I went for, and got, a massive promotion at work - slightly scary, hugely exciting, resulting in a long list of pinch-myself moments. It came at a price - relationships, health and balance have all suffered.

So, for me - 2014 is about repairing.

Repairing relationships, keeping my health in check and bringing balance back into my life. Balance which includes writing this blog, picking up my camera again, rediscovering the calm of crafting, the art of conversation and the joy of equilibrium. Making time to read. Early nights. Dreaming.

I need a clear head for what lies ahead.

So good to be back - what are your resolutions?

  1. I hope 2014 brings you everything you need. I'm sure that if you wish for it hard enough, everything you want will be achieved. x
