A weekend off
Sometimes you just need to have a weekend off. From gallivants, get-togethers and general go-getting. It's been non-stop recently - work, business travel, an hour or two at weekends to get the wash done or run the hoover around. So, this weekend - with the exception of a Saturday morning supermarket dash, we didn't venture out. We did chores, we read the paper, we watched the Grand Prix and Eurovision, we lazed about in our PJs, we gardened, we cooked, we pottered. We caught up with ourselves. We took time to notice the little things.
It was just what we needed.

That sounds just perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteUnexpected cancellation of kids' sporting fixtures meant we did much the same. It was blissful.
