Aren't they wonderful? Their petals are like chocolate curls. We picked them up yesterday from here when we went home to see my parents to celebrate birthdays (Mum and Mr M), new jobs, education and life in general. A surprise lunch took us here where we all thoroughly enjoyed the triple cooked chips and some of us were braver than others with their food choices (I played it very safe). Presents opened, cake inhaled - a quick journey home and no need for dinner other than a good bottle of red. Bliss.

Marvellous marigolds
Aren't they wonderful? Their petals are like chocolate curls. We picked them up yesterday from here when we went home to see my parents to celebrate birthdays (Mum and Mr M), new jobs, education and life in general. I love the way the marigold leaves ruffle, it makes me think I should be wearing a big taffeta dress. They'll bring such a cheer to the garden, especially given the sudden drizzle onslaught!
ReplyDeleteThey really do - although the squirrels have already destroyed two of them! Grrr. They do have a ruffle to them akin to a tutu. x
