Here are some photos from the garden this evening to keep you going until I've got time on Sunday to properly post. The Aquilegia has a huge amount of buds on it and has put on an enormous amount of growth which is incredibly pleasing. Looks like it might be a claret flower.
And this is the beautiful Iris from my Grandmother's garden - how stunning. It is a far deeper, richer purple than my camera could ever capture.
How the petals are draped so delicately. What I really love is how racy they are inside with a touch of zebra print! Truth be told, we've had an awful lot of rain recently and they've really done rather well to stay upright. Well done girls!
