Oh my

I am so incredibly tired! New people, new suit, new surroundings, new systems. I'm using my brain -it's incredibly exciting and petrifying all at once! My new commute to work sees me waving goodbye to the dreadful Waterloo & City Line and saying hello to the Bakerloo line up to Regents Park. It's an absolute joy to do and I can't wait to spend my lunch hours in the park with a spot of lunch and a good book. Speaking of which, I have almost finished Kim and have Cold Comfort Farm waiting for me.

Right, time for bed. Night, night. x

p.s. Thank you so much for all of your lovely and supportive comments on my last post - I'm still elated!

  1. Newness is exhausting! But glad to hear it's going well.

My word verification code is 'resto' which sounds good advice.

  3. I'm so happy to hear that it's going well. Make sure you get lots of rest in the evenings this week! x

PS: I always find that there's plenty of seats on the Bakerloo Line - much more than any other line. Always better for book reading than standing and trying not to fall over! x

  4. So good to hear your first day was a good one. Regents Park is going to be such a gorgeous venue for summer lunches, I'm rather jealous.

I know what you mean about the exhaustion, when I started my teaching it was such a shock to the system, I was really surprised when that evening I could barely string a sentence together and just collapsed on the sofa in a pathetic heap!

  6. Exhausting is the word! Few sentences were strung last night and I must confess to a couple of glasses of vino. And yes, the Bakerloo line is fab for seats and reading, and the location is truly amazing! I'm sure I won't be saying that in a month's time when the tourists kick in for the zoo! xx
