We popped down to Wiltshire to celebrate Christmas part 1 with my Grandpa yesterday and had a super time. Crackers, presents, fizz, cheer and mince pies. Brilliant.
Is it just me who feels a little caught out by Christmas? I'm so behind with everything! My grand plans to make Christmas cards and presents have gone completely awry - and highlighted just how much time I've had on my hands in previous years! Ah well - I've still got some time to make mince pies!
Top joke!
ReplyDeleteAnd if it makes you feel any better, I am so behind on cards, I've decided not to bother. Exhale - stress relief.
Am pleased I am not the only one who's grand plans for a fully home-made Christmas aren't quite as realistic as might have hoped....there is always next year to make the cards.....Have a wonderful Christmas
ReplyDeleteLove the joke - I'll have to remember that one!
ReplyDeleteIt's best to remember that we're all human and have so much to fit into our normal, day to day lives that it's near impossible to try and accomplish all the cosy homemade things that would be nice to do for Christmas.
I keep reminding myself that Kirstie Allsop has been paid to have a homemade Christmas!

I think we all make grand crafting plans for the holidays, only to see the time slip away. You're definitely not alone!

No, you're definitely not the only one. I always plan to start preparations earlier. And never do.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that the only way to make everything that you want to make and do everything that you want to do for Christmas, you have to start in January.
ReplyDeleteAnd who's going to do that?!
.. and this one from a barber's daughter.... what's the difference between a good haircut and a bad one? ....about 3 weeks.....
ReplyDeleteChristmas always sneaks up too fast...I've been so preoccupied with other grievances I have been quite surprised by it arriving so soon myself! xxx
