Butterfly kisses

Isn't that just the most adorable name for a plant? I do like a quirky plant name. We spied a tray of these at Petersham Nursery yesterday.

Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes. Mr M came up trumps as always and lots of photos were taken. More about that soon.

I do like a laid-back Friday. Mr M has taken a couple of days off work. So, this morning we popped to Claremont Gardens for a short stroll and then on to Garsons to see the fishmonger about some Sea Bass and British samphire. We may have to go back next week and indulge in a little Pick Your Own. June sees cabbage, mangetout, sugar snaps, broccoli, carrot, gooseberries and strawberries. The farm shop had some beautiful cut flowers - 3 allium stems for £1.99, delphiniums for £3, snapdragons, peonies - it's a good job Mr M was there to remind me that I have enough flowers already...sigh. (Although not too many, if you're reading this before tomorrow Mum!)

Radio 4 has been replaced this afternoon by the faint rumble of the football and the gentle whirr of wheels as Mr M performs some bicycle magic in preparation for the London to Brighton bike ride on Sunday. I might just sneak off and finish my book and perhaps indulge in a little cat nap before the big match this evening.

Have a great weekend!
