A little while ago I voted for Rebecca's blog over at Dorset Cereals. Out of the blue, I got an email from the lovely Dorset Cereal people on Thursday to say that I had been randomly chosen to win a crate of their cereal. Needless to say, I was very excited because I never win things. Ever. There may have even been a little squeal. So thrilled was I, that there was even some debate over the weekend as to what constitutes a crate. Mini cereal boxes, large cereal boxes?
Needless to say I was delighted when a very nice delivery man presented me with a very heavy box yesterday. He couldn't believe that it just had cereal in it. I joked that that would be how much heavier I would be by the time I had worked my way through it.
Miss P and I eyed up the pretty box. We like pretty packaging. Within moments it was ripped open. Miss P yawned and tucked her pretty little nose back into her tail as I emptied the box, for it was not filled with her favourite white fish treats and was therefore of no further interest.
Six large boxes of cereal. Yum, yum, yum. Don't the colours go well with the marvellous ottoman - complete fluke. The berry box is the same colour as the new dress, which I must go and photograph. There is enough for us to have morning, noon and night for many a month. Mr M and I have decided that we will have to be inventive. I shall report on all experiments. Hoorah for random giveaways!
Fantastic. I love winning things. And parcels being delivered. And free things.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! :D
Oooh how wonderful! You don't know how many Dorset Cereals competitions I've entered over the years and still no luck!

Just discovered you via Implausible Yarn, and I'm envious of these lovely cereal boxes, which will be perfect accompanied by that bottle of wine in any colour.
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations! I love their cereals, so am quite jealous. Alas, my little blog didn't win, but thank you so much for voting for me, and I'm so glad you got something in return. You'll have to keep us posted as you work through them all!
ReplyDeleteI can thoroughly recommend turning the yellow box variety into flapjack type thingummies. Delish!
