I have just spent a wonderful long weekend in Herefordshire in this beautiful barn with 9 other lovely ladies for Miss L's hen do. A barn that sleeps 12 comfortably, with outdoor swimming pool, croquet garden, sauna and table tennis room. Absolute heaven.
We spent the first night playing the legendary chocolate game. Take one chilled bar of chocolate in its wrapper, knife and fork, hat, gloves, scarf and dice. Roll a 6, throw on the accessories and eat one square of chocolate at a time. It got a little competitive...
After a nice leisurely start on Saturday, we went target shooting. So much fun. I got a bulls eye with my crossbow. All very exciting. Back to the barn for lunch and a pamper party - if you're in Herefordshire and need a little pampering, these are the ladies to call. I had my first pedicure and French manicure. Looking glam, we then went for dinner and danced until the wee hours. Sunday was spent cursing the rain, watching Midsummer Murders and relaxing. And marvelling at the fact that we are all clearly very grown up because we didn't wake up with sore heads. Particularly when you consider that I was in Barcelona a year ago for Mrs F's hen do and experienced the side effects of cava. Ahem.
Full marks to Miss L's big sister for organising such a super weekend.
