Yellow valentine

A beautiful bunch of yellow ranunculus and bright orange parrot tulips from Mr M. A Valentine receipt from Paperchase yesterday. A dinner planned, with fizz in the fridge.

I've never seen so many red roses spilling out from supermarkets, florists and the make-shift flower stalls that have popped up out of nowhere. I wonder whether they will all be bought, and what happens to those that aren't. In the queue at Paperchase, an almost holiday spirit seemed to whip everyone into a jolly mood. It was fun watching people choose their cards - and spotting those buying more than one!
