Reclaimed bricks

Aren't they pretty? Each one different. Each one bearing a scar or two. They are all that's left of our chimney breast. Bricks laid in 1926. They'll be cleaned up and used to rebuild the brick wall built by the chauffeur that needs restoring.

    1. Thanks - they are so pretty. They do honk of soot though.

  2. Old, handmade bricks can be beautiful; except the huge piles laying around my garden brought home by the builder "because they may come in handy"!

    1. Ahh. Yes. I have the same problem when it comes to cables and diy sundries. I fear that this pile will be there for some time to come...
